As part of the application process, contact information such as mailing address (required), and—at the applicant's discretion—phone numbers, FAX numbers, and email addresses are requested for the Member Directory, a document distributed to SDIS members only. Also, at the time of membership renewal, additional information may be requested as to the member's discipline(s), and areas for which they may wish to seek or offer assistance. Those members who wish to offer their assistance and service to other members may be contacted by other members; members who wish to restrict their availability may indicating so by not checking the appropriate lines on the questionnaire forms.
At no time will SDIS give, sell, lease, or otherwise allow access to personal member information to non-SDIS parties for any purpose. SDIS Member contact information may be used by Officers, the Board, and/or Committee Chairs to contact members regarding relevant business, projects, and/or other necessary organizational matters. No member will receive any commercial contacts or solicitations as a result of providing SDIS with contact information.
